Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience the Candela C-8, the world’s first electric boat offering the range and speed of traditional fossil-fuel vessels. Equipped with advanced, computer-guided hydrofoils, the C-8 achieves a remarkable range of 57 nautical miles at 22 knots, providing a smooth and silent ride above the water surface. In addition to the exhibition, Candela’s CEO, Gustav Hasselskog, will participate in a presentation titled “Can waterborne vessels and electrification really mix?” Gustav will cover how Stockholm has implemented Candela’s new P-12 ferry, the world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry, in public transport, saving valuable time for passengers, along with a 95% reduction of emissions and lower operational costs. This session is scheduled for Friday, March 7th, from 15:00 to 15:30 on the GIGA Stage at the Sydney Showground.
